Website Notice

How information is handled, how MIZINI content may be used, and what to expect when browsing and using this website.

Last updated: October 6, 2026

At a glance

This website presents MIZINI and Quiet City, offers personal E-Cards, and accepts private Zilo’s Hollow notes. It records optional visit statistics only after you choose “Allow statistics”.

Please avoid submitting sensitive personal information. Privacy questions and permission requests can be emailed to miziniworld@gmail.com.

1. Who operates this website

MIZINI is a creative project by WAYNIVA STUDIO. In this notice, “we”, “us”, and “the studio” refer to the team operating the MIZINI website in British Columbia, Canada. Privacy requests are handled by the studio operator through the contact below.

Our privacy practices are subject to British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where applicable, the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), including relevant commercial handling of information across provincial or national borders. Copyright matters are subject to Canada’s Copyright Act. This notice does not override mandatory legal rights.

2. Information collected and why

Visit statistics

If you allow optional statistics, we record pages viewed, the time of a visit, an approximate country and region when available, the referring website’s domain, a device category, selected button activity, and a randomly generated browser-session identifier. These records help us understand which pages people use, where visits come from, and whether features such as E-Card downloads are being used.

The studio’s analytics records do not contain raw IP addresses, names, email addresses, E-Card messages, or Zilo’s Hollow note contents. A session identifier is not a verified person: different devices or new sessions may count separately. Location can be inaccurate or unavailable.

Zilo’s Hollow notes

When you submit a thought, we store the text, a submission identifier used to prevent duplicate saves, and the submission time. The form does not ask for a name or email address. Notes are private and do not appear publicly; the studio can access them to operate the feature and handle requests.

If you include identifying information in your note, that information becomes part of the stored text. Please do not include passwords, financial information, medical records, contact details, or another person’s private information. “No name required” does not mean that the hosting or sign-in services cannot identify a connection.

E-Cards

Names and messages entered in the E-Card Studio are processed in your browser to create the card. This feature does not save those fields in the website’s database. Downloading saves a file on your device. Sharing sends the card through the app or service you choose, which applies its own privacy practices.

Sign-in and messages

ChatGPT sign-in is used where access is restricted. The hosting service may provide a signed-in user identifier, email address, and optional display name to the website for access checks. These details are not added to visit analytics. If you contact us through Instagram, we receive the information you choose to send there. The Contact page asks for your name, reply email, subject, and message. When you press Send message, these details are sent through Resend to the studio’s Gmail mailbox so we can respond to your enquiry. Message contents are not saved in the website database. Short-lived keyed email hashes, counters, and expiry times are stored to limit abuse; expired records are automatically removed on a subsequent submission. These records are separate from optional visit statistics. Resend processes message contents and delivery records under its service arrangements, and Resend and Google may process information outside Canada. The page also offers a direct email link that opens your own email app. If you email us, we receive the information you send and use it to respond to your enquiry and handle any follow-up. Our contact mailbox is hosted by Google Gmail; your email service and Google process messages under their own privacy practices, and information may be processed outside Canada. We keep correspondence only as reasonably needed for the enquiry, associated records, and applicable legal obligations.

3. Cookies and technical information

Only after you allow statistics, the website uses a first-party session cookie named mizini_visit to group visits from the same browser session. It contains a random identifier, not your name or email address. It is intended to last for the browser session, although some browsers restore session cookies when reopening.

Use “Privacy settings” in the footer to allow or decline statistics at any time. A first-party cookie named mizini_analytics remembers your choice for up to 180 days. Declining or withdrawing consent stops new studio page-view and button-event recording; previous records are not automatically erased. The choice does not prevent you from using the site. You can also manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Separate cookies used by hosting or sign-in services are governed by those services.

Hosting, security, and sign-in providers may process IP addresses, request logs, browser information, and account information to deliver and protect the website. Our analytics statement above describes the studio’s analytics database, not every technical record held by those providers.

4. Service providers and external websites

This website uses OpenAI Sites for hosting access and publication, and Cloudflare infrastructure for serving pages and storing website data. Providers may process information outside your country under their own service arrangements and privacy policies. We do not promise that all processing takes place in Canada.

Instagram, X, YouTube, and any messaging app you choose are separate services. Social links do not embed their feeds or videos on this page. Following an external link or sharing an E-Card brings you under that service’s policies. We do not control its content, security, availability, or data handling.

The studio does not use the current visit records for targeted advertising or sell them. Information may be disclosed when necessary to operate the website, respond to a valid legal requirement, or protect the website and its users, subject to applicable law.

5. Storage, security, and your requests

The studio must keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for its stated purpose or a legal obligation and remove or de-identify it when it is no longer needed. Deletion is currently managed manually; there is no automatic deletion schedule. Where PIPA requires retention of information used to make a decision directly affecting an individual, that information must be retained for at least one year after that use. Browser-session cookies and database records have different lifetimes.

Access to the statistics dashboard is restricted to the website owner. We use the platform’s access controls and reasonable safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

You may contact us about information you have submitted, access, correction, deletion, or a privacy concern. We may need enough details to locate a record and verify an appropriate request. A note submitted without identifying information may not be possible to reliably link to you. You can request access to your personal information and information about its use and disclosure, request correction, withdraw consent subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice, and ask for deletion where permitted. Withdrawal may affect a feature that needs the information, such as storing a Zilo’s Hollow note. Access requests under PIPA ordinarily require a response within 30 days, subject to lawful extensions or exceptions. We will explain any applicable refusal or limitation. You may raise unresolved concerns with the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for BC or, for matters under PIPEDA, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

6. Copyright and MIZINI identity

MIZINI names, logos, characters, stories, artwork, and website design are used by WAYNIVA STUDIO. Copyright and other rights in protected material belong to the studio or the relevant rights holders. Third-party materials remain subject to their owners’ rights and licences.

Viewing this website does not grant a licence to reproduce MIZINI branding or characters for merchandise, commercial promotions, resale, or an apparent official collaboration. Please request permission for those uses. Do not claim studio materials as your own or present yourself as an authorised MIZINI partner without permission.

Nothing in this notice restricts uses permitted by applicable law, including relevant copyright exceptions.

7. Personal E-Card use

You may personalise messages using the E-Card Studio and download or share the resulting cards for personal, non-commercial use. Keep the MIZINI branding and attribution intact. This permission does not extend to selling the cards, reproducing the artwork on products, or using them in commercial campaigns.

Only include text you have the right to use. You remain responsible for the message you add and for choosing appropriate recipients.

8. Responsible use and limitations

Please do not use the website to submit unlawful, threatening, abusive, or infringing material, expose another person’s private information, impersonate someone, or interfere with the website’s operation or security.

Quiet City and its residents are fictional creative content. Zilo’s Hollow is a space to leave a thought, not a monitored emergency service, counselling service, or a promise of a personal reply. Website content is not professional medical, legal, or financial advice.

We aim to keep the website useful and accurate, but pages, availability, downloads, and third-party integrations may change, contain errors, or be interrupted. To the extent allowed by applicable law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation and are not responsible for losses caused by matters outside our reasonable control. Nothing in this notice excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

9. Applicable law and your rights

Website use is subject to the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without limiting mandatory protections that apply to you. Nothing here waives privacy rights, statutory copyright exceptions such as fair dealing where applicable, consumer protections, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Copyright protection depends on the requirements of Canadian law. Names, ideas, and branding are not all protected in the same way; no statement here asserts a registered trademark or copyright registration.

10. Changes and contact

This notice describes the website’s current features. We will update it when relevant practices change, with the revised date shown above.

For privacy questions, a content concern, copyright permissions, or licensing enquiries, email miziniworld@gmail.com or contact @miziniworld on Instagram (opens in a new tab). Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information in a direct message.
